- Thanks to a food-focused Instagram account, his photos caught the eye of a producer, and he was a finalist for a food reality competition — though he ultimately didn't end up on the show.
- Having grown up in Georgia, he is passionate about Southern food and cooks shrimp and grits, fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and a nice hearty gumbo every chance he gets.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Robert has nearly 20 years of professional writing experience across a wide range of channels, including food and hospitality, personal finance, consumer reviews, brand marketing, and more. In 2017, Robert stepped away from a full-time writing job to pursue a freelance career. Since then, his work has appeared in US News & World Report, USA Today, and Yahoo Finance as well as food and restaurant-focused content in Nashville Lifestyles, The Penny Hoarder, Edible Nashville, and Native Nashville. One of his favorite traditions is cooking a mean steak frites for his wife and two boys on Sunday evenings. Robert joined Static Media in 2025.
Education
Robert has two bachelor's degrees, one in political science from Kennesaw State University and the other in English from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
