Claire began her journalistic career as a staff writer for her university newspaper, The Daily Emerald. She wrote articles covering new restaurants, campus events, and everything niche in the eclectic town of Eugene, Oregon. While studying abroad for two weeks in Lisbon, Portugal, she pursued stories covering local artisans, while opening her eyes to local seafood dishes and the breadth of international cuisine. As an early career journalist contributing to Static Media's Chowhound, Claire continues to pursue her lifelong passion for writing, fact-finding, and trying new things. Today, her work reflects her curiosity, aiming to help readers learn and explore the world of food for themselves.
