- Macy loves exploring the world of food by never saying no to anything unfamiliar when she travels, unless it has bugs.
- She has a passion for exploring how a single bite of a dish can take you back through years of history and culture, including Filipino dishes with heavy Spanish and Chinese influences.
- She has almost 100 recipes that are all about dishes she invented since 2022 in her personal cookbook, including pastas and soups.
Experience
Macy is a storyteller who approaches her content with vigor, pulling readers into her world. She started as an editorial assistant for a magazine before she fell into a content writing rabbit hole and realized how much she also enjoys performing deep dives into different topics. Not long after, she started ghostwriting feature pieces, food reviews, travel guides, and lifestyle content for various publications. With a lot left of the culinary world to discover, she joined Static Media's food verticals and approaches her content with curiosity and eagerness to uncover new recipes and try new dishes. She has always been obsessed with challenges and undertook writing one food review per week for an entire year.
Education
Macy has a degree in production design from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.
