Mold inside winter squash

jordanc8 | Feb 3, 201809:00 AM

I have a food safety question... I cut the top off of a turban squash, and noticed very slight softness on the outside in one area of the top. Inside, that area has dry fluffy white mold growing amongst the seeds. Scooping the seeds out, the flesh is not soft. Is the flesh safe to eat? What about the seeds, if I wash them before roasting them?
