Seasons come, seasons go without a lot of fuss. Leaves grow long and then crop short, sweaters are worn, and then they are folded neatly and stowed away until the temperatures again plunge. All of this happens without much notice. After all, what markers do we have to keep track of something so fluid as time? Calendars, sure, they do the trick. And clocks are nice to have on standby. But the real marker of time, for me at least, is the changing, seasonal rotation of items available at Trader Joe's. With each new month, I welcome a new onslaught of seasonally themed snacks and treats from the iconic tiki-inspired grocer. There is no season that the grocery chain does better than autumn. Every year, Trader Joe's brings around a cornucopia of delicious treats for customers to enjoy.

There is no month more autumnal, or exciting for a Trader Joe's die-hard, than October. This month brings with it spooky, Halloween-themed treats, and the first of the chain's Thanksgiving and holiday offerings. The October 2026 crop of new items at Trader Joe's is absolutely sublime. However, navigating the breadth of the lineup can be tough. Luckily, we've got a good scoop on what's new and fresh at the retailer this October. Just make sure to carve out room in your cupboards and freezer, as there are plenty of goodies to grab.

Trick-or-Treat Mini Canvas Totes

Maybe it's hocus pocus, or maybe it's just the usual fervor that a new release from Trader Joe's seems to muster. Whatever it is, these Halloween mini totes are in demand. The small canvas bags were also released last year and feature Halloween-y color combinations, such as black and orange; orange, green, black, and purple; and purple and green. They're perfect for trick or treating. Each tote costs $2.99 and they sell out fast so grab them while you can.

The Jammy Egg

Making deliciously jammy eggs is simple enough, but also fussy enough for the effort to not always match the output. Sometimes what should be jammy comes out hard boiled, or else completely underdone. But you needn't worry or fuss any longer, because Trader Joe's now carries bagged, pre-boiled, jammy-in-the-middle eggs. The Jammy Eggs by Chino Valley Ranchers come in a resealable bag that contains four large eggs per container (priced at $3.99 per bag). Grab a bag and use them in your next cozy bowl of ramen, or to top a perfectly dressed Caesar salad.

Swedish Princess Raspberry Cake

On top of being a confectionary classic, whimsical and tasty Swedish Princess Cake has become a bit of a viral sensation. So of course Trader Joe's had to try its hand at it. This confection has a sponge cake base with a raspberry jam and pastry cream filling. It's topped with whipped cream and a layer of green marzipan. Altogether, it really does taste like it was made for a princess. Each cake costs $7.99, but be sure to grab it fast, as this is a limited time item.

Plum Torte

Well this is just plum dandy — or just a plum torte. Trader Joe's new Plum Torte is pre-baked and frozen, ready to pop into the oven to warm up for the perfect autumnal dessert. The treat features a base of sliced plums covered in a butter-rich cake. First released this year as a limited seasonal item, it's already getting rave reviews for its fresh – but still rich and decadent — taste. Serve with ice cream or a bit of fresh whipped cream and a cup of coffee. Each torte costs $7.99 and serves about six.

Caramelized Onion Goat's Milk Cheese

Goat cheese is a must-have for anyone constructing a comprehensive charcuterie board (in my opinion). And for an autumnal cheese spread, including a comforting, rich, and caramelized onion-infused cheese is also essential. With this in mind, Trader Joe's has released a new Caramelized Onion Goat Milk Cheese, perfect for spreading on crackers or using on a flatbread. It makes a great pairing for seasonal ingredients such as pumpkin, squash, and cranberries. Each 4-ounce log costs $3.29, but this is a limited time release, so snag it while you can.

Apple Pie a la Mode Ice Cream

Apple pie and ice cream are a match made in heaven, and Trader Joe's made the pairing even more sublime by cutting the middleman and fusing the two together. This pint-sized pack of frozen dessert has a vanilla ice cream base with apple pie filling swirls and pie crust to boot. It is, essentially, the best of autumn in one cute, nifty cardboard container. Eat this on this own or pair it with apple pie for a meta touch. Each pint costs $3.99. It is seasonal, though, so it won't be around forever.

Cranberry & Jalapeño Chicken Meatballs

Trader Joe's new Cranberry & Jalapeño Chicken Meatballs are here to party, and they're here for your party. Each pack costs $4.29 and includes 12 ounces of meatballs, each of which contain cranberries for a touch of sweetness and jalapeño for a kick of heat. These make for a wonderful appetizer as-is (just heat and serve with festive toothpicks) or perhaps cooked baby shower style, with grape (or raspberry) jelly and some barbecue sauce to finish them off.

Mini Apple Danish Pastries

Apple meets Danish: It's a romance for the ages, found right at Trader Joe's this fall. These come in packs of eight frozen pastries that are ready to pop into the oven and enjoy. The best part? Unlike other frozen Trader Joe's pastries, these require no proofing at all. Just cook and enjoy, perhaps with a cup of coffee for breakfast, or with a scoop of that Apple Pie a la Mode Ice Cream for dessert. These cost $4.99 per pack and are a seasonal item.

Duchess Potatoes

It doesn't look like Duchess Potatoes have hit the frozen aisle of Trader Joe's just yet, but they certainly have built up a good amount of anticipation. This vegan frozen dish consists of whipped potatoes that have been piped into a rosette shape. Simply bake from frozen and serve. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these make for the perfect unexpected Thanksgiving side (or just a lovely component of a comforting fall-themed dinner).

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Croissants

Oh, what wonders the Trader Joe's bakery section holds. These ready-to-enjoy Pumpkin Cream Cheese Croissants come in packs of two. Each croissant is filled with pumpkin cream cheese. These are perfect, easy treats to serve as a snack, dessert, or breakfast if you have a particularly strong sweet tooth (like me). They cost $3.99 per pack and are a limited release for the season.

Chicken Flautas

Trader Joe's new frozen Chicken Flautas are everything you could hope for and more. They're made with seasoned, shredded chicken, which is then wrapped in a large flour tortilla and fried to perfection. You need only cook and serve, perhaps with some sour cream, salsa, or a bit of queso for a cheesy twist. Each pack comes with four flautas and costs $4.99.

Grated Seasoned Parmesan Cheese

What's better than Parmesan cheese? Parmesan cheese with a bit of seasonings to boot. Trader Joe's new (and limited) Grated Seasoned Parmesan Cheese includes herbs and spices such as parsley, basil, garlic, and black pepper. It is ready to sprinkle over many a comfort food and Thanksgiving staple. Use it to top stuffing, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole or, well, pretty much anything you'd like. Each container costs $10.99.

Creamy Corn Pudding

I know my corn pudding: I was raised on batches of creamy, corny goodness. So knowing that Trader Joe's is throwing its hat into the corn pudding ring truly brings a tear to my eye. This corn pudding combines white and yellow corn with Parmesan and cheddar cheeses and other seasonings to make a savory, custard-y side dish that just might outshine any main course you make. The 1-pound container is a limited time item, so grab it while you can.
