And while our team hasn't personally visited (it's on our bucket list, though, for sure), its remarkable coffee offerings surely didn't go unnoticed.

But beyond its popular caffeinated sips, some of its locations across the island also provide a snazzy wine bar setup, the Island Vintage Wine Bar, which has amassed several awards. These include No.5 Best New Restaurant in 2021 by USA Today, 2021 Hale Aina Award Finalist for the Best Wine Program by Honolulu Magazine, and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The coffee shop also has a shiny trophy from Honolulu Magazine as a finalist for 2026 Best Local Coffee Roaster.

Despite the establishment being a wine bar, people seek its deliciously refreshing meals, too, and it offers a vibrant addition of leafy greens in almost every dish. But the lengthy wine list — with 40 variations in its cuvenee wine system alone — is enough to entice you to give it a try. There are also popular and rare bottles, promising a well-rounded experience for newbies and experts alike.

True to the vibe of Hawaii, the Island Vintage Wine Bar offers a laidback drinking experience, perfect for those who want to focus on the craftsmanship of the beverage, quality of the food, and the intimacy of conversations rather than a flashy interior or upbeat music. A lot of patrons love the acai bowl, some for its generous serving of honey and some for the bold flavors. The serving is quite hefty, too.

Island Vintage's farm-to-table manifesto ensures the freshest bites, indulging you in a variety of local flavors. If you're up for a drink or two, specifically look out for its wine bottles from France and California, with plenty of options to choose from. For group hangouts where everyone's eating something different so you can't decide what wine to order, chilled red wine is your best bet. Aside from wine, the bar also has cocktails, local craft beers, and other fun drinks, including non-alcoholic options.

The Honolulu location opens as early as 5:30 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. Its Kapolei location operates at different hours; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday and until 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. Much like a lot of stores in Hawaii, it's ideal for hangouts here you'd call it a night pretty early. When ordering for happy hour, make sure to swing by from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. any day of the week. Draft beers only cost $7, while some reds, whites, and bubblies range from $8 to $30.
