Aldi's Under-$20 Apple Baking Dish Has Major Le Creuset Vibes For Less

Aldi has long been known for offering worthwhile products at affordable prices, and its exciting, ever-changing assortment of seasonal finds is no exception. On your next Aldi trip, you could buy one of the many fall-friendly desserts for under $5, or take a pit stop in the central area of the store, known as Aldi's Aisle of Dreams or Shame (depending on how much you spend). The center aisle of every Aldi store always features new, rotating products that never fail to impress customers. For customers who bake, that's where you'll find the apple-shaped Crofton Pie or Brie Baker. 

This apple baking dish may be the only item you need to upgrade your arsenal of baking supplies this fall. Its vibrant red ceramic base and lid complement the kelly green stem, which serves as the lid's knob for opening and closing. While the dimensions aren't listed on the Aldi website, one Aldi shopper posted an image of a similar version on Facebook — with a candle for scale. They say the dish is smaller than they thought. From the image, it looks to be about 8 or 9 inches, and it's probably about 2 inches deep. 

What's even more impressive about Aldi's whimsical fall baking dish is that it has a striking resemblance to Le Creuset's produce-shaped bakeware, yet it's way more affordable. Take Le Creuset's Signature Pumpkin Cocotte, for example: Aldi's Crofton apple baking dish costs $9.99, while Le Creuset's Cocotte costs a whopping $395. Truth be told, even if you went with a more modest product like Le Creuset's Mini Pumpkin Cocotte, you'd still pay $52, which is roughly five times the cost of Aldi's version.

Considering Aldi's Crofton Pie or Brie Bakers debuted in stores on September 16th, supplies may be limited. Aldi Finds or items marked as seasonal are only around for a limited time. They're typically available for purchase until they sell out. While you can certainly visit an Aldi location near you to see what's in stock, you can also (at the time of writing) purchase Aldi's Crofton Apple Baker online.

Aldi also carries other fall-themed bakers in the same size, including an acorn-themed dish, a pumpkin-themed variety, and a berry baker version. While you're searching for these bakers in-store, you may also want to pick up something to help you put your new apple pie baker to good use, such as Aldi's Baker's Corner Pumpkin Quick Bread & Muffin Mix.
