Kate is a writer and editor who specializes in food and cooking. She got her start working in the cookbooks department at America's Test Kitchen, and she has since worked everywhere from East Bay NOSH and Southern Kitchen to the test kitchens for Alton Brown and Anova Culinary. Her freelance work has appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, cookbooks from culinary luminaries like Bryant Terry and Arielle Johnson, and Serious Eats. She spends her free time running long distances, rock climbing, and hanging out with her two daughters.

Education

Kate has a bachelor's degree in religious studies from Reed College.
