Well, it's that time of year. Fall is upon us, and with it comes a slew of fall-flavored snacks. It's pumpkin this and apple that, and cinnamon is seemingly as rampant as the falling leaves. Of course, restaurants get in on the act with the pumpkin desserts and lattes. But grocery stores know all about fall too, and Aldi has quite the lineup of fall-flavored snacks in 2026.

We tried 17 of Aldi's snack offerings this fall and ranked them from worst to best, and our favorite was Aldi's Bake Shop Apple Fritters. Just in general, apple fritters are one of the more delicious and classic options you'll find at a typical donut shop. But Aldi has managed to make an apple fritter that would rival any other version out there — and, somehow, this chain makes incredible apple fritters without even having an in-store bakery.

They come in a 14-ounce container with four fritters each and cost $4.39, depending on location. That's just a little more than one dollar per apple fritter, which is well worth the cost for these delicious sweet treats. These fritters are dense and filling, and the exterior has a perfect amount of glaze to counter some of the greasiness from the fried dough. We thought they could have a touch more apple and spice, but, as is, Aldi's Bake Shop Apple Fritters are an absolute banger of a snack — so much so that we wish we could enjoy them all year long.

Online reviewers love Aldi's Bake Shop Apple Fritters

Many online reviews match our own thoughts about Aldi's apple fritters. "They were absolutely delicious!" a Facebook commenter says. "I warmed mine in the microwave for about 10 seconds, then added a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a little caramel sauce." A TikTok reviewer rated the apple fritters a 10 out of 10, adding that the cinnamon to apple ratio is perfect. "We like to toast them a little in our toaster oven," says a Redditor who thought the fritters were great. "They get a little crispy on the edges, and are fluffy and chewy inside with a good amount of cinnamon and apple."

If you're not into apple fritters (we won't judge), but you would still like some of Aldi's fall treats, then you do have other fantastic options. We thought the Benton's Maple Leaf Creme Cookies were delicious, and the Benton's Pumpkin Spice Wafer Rolls were another tasty option. On the hard pass list? The Southern Grove Pumpkin Spice Almonds tasted citrusy, stale, and had a mealy texture after one bite. Leave those nuts on the store shelf.

Aldi does a great job of making a wide range of fall snacks. And, sure, like any other grocery store chain, they're bound to have a few misses. But the Bake Shop Apple Fritters are not in that group. Heat them up and serve them with a cup of coffee or a dollop of ice cream. They are the perfect sweet treat to enjoy this fall.
