Sometimes, you don't want to put a lot of thought into dinner. Some steakhouse chains offer pre-made family dinners for you to take home, but, if you're still willing to do a minimal amount of cooking, you have plenty of options as well. You probably know all about the best meal kit services, but we're talking about suggested meal bundles from grocery stores — in this specific case, that's Walmart.
Starting in August 2026, Walmart began offering food meal bundles on its app and website. These are pre-gathered dinners that you can quickly add to your cart. Currently, there are over 80 options available — the large majority of which are under $20. You can't substitute items, so what you get is what you get. But when you add the bundle to your cart, it rings up as just one item so you'll know exactly what you're paying for your overall dinner before you purchase.
The prices start as low as $3.21. That's a basic jar of Walmart's Great Value Traditional Pasta Sauce alongside a 16-ounce box of Great Value spaghetti. Sticking with the pasta theme, you'll find the Great Value Classic Alfredo Sauce and a 16-ounce box of fettuccine for only $3.77. A 7-ounce box of Kraft Mac and Cheese pairs with a can of Hormel Chili (without beans) to make a Classic Chili Mac Meal for just $3.84. Those are the cheapest of the Walmart meal bundles, but even the more expensive ones have a great value — considering everything that's included.
Walmart's meal bundles offer a wide variety of dinner options
The most expensive meal bundle Walmart offers right now is its Butternut Squash Soup Bundle, which comes with a 32-ounce carton of butternut squash soup, a French baguette, a Mediterranean Crunch chopped salad kit, an 8-ounce bag of pepitas, and a 24-count package of hot apple cider K-Cup pods. That's a lot for less than $29.
Still, if you think that's a little too pricey, you'll find other great options for a family meal, like the Chicken Fajita Night Family Meal Bundle — a mix of a taco blend of cheese, one whole onion, pico de gallo, tortillas, and Walmart's Marketside Fajita Seasoned Chicken. That will set you back $17.57. Even more budget-friendly is the Fresh Pepperoni Pizza Meal for just $12.02 — which includes one 12-inch Marketside Pepperoni Pizza, a 15-ounce Caesar salad kit, and an eight-count of Great Value frozen Texas Toast. We also love the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Meal Bundle — a family-size can of Campbell's Tomato Soup, a 24-ounce loaf of Great Value sourdough bread, and a 16-count of Kraft Singles American Cheese Slices that only costs $9.36.
You get the point. Whether you're on an extremely tight budget or can splurge just a touch, Walmart's meal bundles are full of options to meet any price range between $3 and $28. Plus, the variety of meals offered — again, about 80 total — gives you plenty of choices for both picky eaters and those who are slightly more adventurous. If you want to take some of the stress out of dinner, you should definitely consider the Walmart meal bundles.
