  • Clarke spent 10 years as a professional food photographer in New York before moving to New Mexico, changing direction, and focusing on food and culture writing.
  • When the pandemic struck, he was an art critic for the local weekly newspaper in Albuquerque. But because all of the art galleries were closed, he started a popular cocktail column focused on local ingredients to support both local producers and his homebound readers.
