To keep customers coming back, grocery chains will often introduce seasonal snacks and desserts — and Trader Joe's is one of the best in the game at getting customers excited for its limited-time offers. The much-loved store dropped plenty of fall treats this season, but there's one we highly recommend grabbing before it's gone: the maple brown butter flavored almonds.

Chowhound ranked several of Trader Joe's fall treats available this season, and we found our winner to be the tastiest of all. The almonds are first salted and roasted, then coated in a maple brown butter glaze and finished with maple cocoa powder before they're packaged. They're essentially candied almonds, but with a fall-style maple butter flavor that's hard to resist. Our taste tester loved the rich, nutty almond flavor paired with the sweet but non-waxy coating. The almonds double as a snack or a dessert, and one 8-ounce package costs $3.99 at Trader Joe's. But they're only around for the fall, so get them before they're gone.

These Trader Joe's almonds are loved by consumers

Trader Joe's fans took to the r/traderjoes subreddit to discuss the almonds, with the original poster noting that the almonds were "very hard to put down, so don't get them if you have no will power like me." Another user wrote that the nuts are "by far the best almond based treat TJs has ever had." The general consensus was that the almonds could easily be overeaten, with users joking that they had to hide the bag from themselves to only eat one serving at a time.

A fun way to use these: crush the almonds up, then fold them into some vanilla ice cream, or any of our favorite Trader Joe's ice creams, for the ultimate sweet treat. You can also bake them into brownies for added crunch and sweet flavor.

The almonds were the only nut-based snack that made our list of Trader Joe's best this season, but a few other treats are worth mentioning as ones to grab before they're gone. The apple pie à la mode ice cream, and the maple and sea salt kettle corn, which took second and third places, respectively, were also extremely tasty. And if you love to indulge in fall treats minus the pumpkin flavor, we have a list of those for you, too.
