Caipirinha

Try this recipe for a Caipirinha or Cachaça Sour, Brazil’s national cocktail containing lime, sugar, and cachaça, a rumlike spirit made from unrefined sugar.

Instructions

  1. 1Sprinkle the sugar over the limes, and muddle in a mixing glass until the sugar has dissolved and the lime juice has been released. Pour ice into the mixing glass, add the cachaça, and shake to incorporate. Pour all the contents into a cocktail glass.
