Bloody Strawberry Gin and Tonic

The buttoned-down Gin and Tonic picks up color, a bit of restrained tartness, and panache, thanks to freshly squeezed blood orange juice and a sliced strawberry.

Try this and our Sex on the Beach for the ideal summer barbecue cocktail menu.

Instructions

  1. 1Fill a chilled highball glass halfway with ice cubes and pour in the gin.
  2. 2Squeeze the blood orange half into the glass. Slice the strawberry thinly and drop the slices (reserving 1) into the glass before topping up with tonic.
  3. 3Stir once or twice and garnish with a strawberry slice.
