Standing outside looking through the large front windows, Zeke's could be mistaken for one of those newfangled "quick service" restaurants like KooKooRoo ... or something. Like someone with some sort of design credentials actually spent time considering what the place was going to look like.
I got the $20 combo plate: 3 meats, 2 sides, 1 slice of homemade white bread. I got brisket, pulled pork, baby-backs (four 2.5 inch ribs), mashed potatoes (one heaping tablespoon) and baked beans. All meats were nicely smoked. The pulled pork is very tasty, and worth the drive. Beans were tasty, with no detectable sweetness. Mashed potatoes were exemplary. All three sauces were nice, and provided a nice variety of tastes. The Texas sauce was the thickest, and was the only sauce with any detectable heat.
For $20, the portions are smaller than what you'd expect.
