Anyone been to the new restaurant Zax? I've read some favorable reviews, particularly from Meredith Brody and S. Irene Virbila and am curious to find out if anyone on this board can share some opinions. I'm considering going there soon and hope that the young chef Brooke Williamson, impresses me enough for me to become a fan of her's. I already admire her for being so young and running a top kitchen in L.A., since I am a young aspiring chef myself. Plus the menu actually looks exciting with things like a frog legs appetizer, and fourme d'ambert stuffed figs, etc... I'm so tired of the generic ahi tuna and fried clamari appetizers as well as the oh so prevalent boring chilean sea bass seemingly on every menu in L.A. for the past several years. Good for her for having some originality and not just following the trend.
