Zaitzeff (Lunch below City Hall, Downtown)

Stumbled upon Zaitzeff earlier in the week. made mental note to go back.

Made it today and had the Zaitzeff Burger (Breaded sirloin, horseradish cream and tomato, on a .....buffin? my own term, looks like an english muffin; eats like a bun!)

The point of the place is Organic. Says the menu: 'All hormones (etc.)'

The burger was tasty, pretty moist, and flavorful - seemed to be a ground mix with some onions. the breading the burger a strange color, sort of like those kibbehs you see in Middle eastern places. Now the breading I guess serves the purpose to bind and I think it actually helps contain the meat juices because the bun was not soggy even though I carried it back.

I will have to return to get the full flavor of the burger but it shows potential

they have a good amount on the menu...(even a KOBE option!)

Well we have lost alfanoose and the options in the hood are rather poor so I suggest some visits, don't know if it is a 'houdn destination just yet, but it might be.

Burger was 6.50 (fries are extra), don't think there is a website.
