I was looking for a new way to serve Brussels sprouts, and I stumbled across the recipe linked below.
WOW! OK, so it's not really Xmas-y (it is in my family, but we're weird that way). But definitely worth a try.
Oh, and I didn't have dried black chickpeas, so I just used canned ones. But I could see this done with different beans, too - just make sure you don't use kinds that disintegrate after cooking (ie, lentils). You need firm ones.
