I am not sure if this place has been mentioned here since I am not a regular SF board reader. But I was in SF this past weekend and found this great little dumpling shack/cafe/coffeehouse. It is on Stockton near Washington, has about three tables, and serves the dim sum on a piece of wax paper. But the dumplings are some of my favorite anywhere. I especially like the scallop dumpling, the pork and peanut dumpling, and the har gow. That pork dumpling is very different than any other dumpling I have had. It has prok, peanuts and bamboo shoots ( I think) and is spiced with chinese 5 spice powder or something like it. It is therefore somewhat sweet and quite unusual (to me at least). The rice dough is a little thick, but I actually like that. They also have decent char siu bao and some other good looking eats, especially a rice and chicken bowl that I was way to full to try. Any other recs at this place?
