West Coast Chowhounds!
We're moving from New York City in a month to a little place in the Santa Cruz Mountains around Summit Road off of Hwy 17. I'm delighted but expecting the transition to be traumatic and am looking for chow pointers for the area to ease the adjustment. I guess we're closest to Los Gatos and Ben Lomond. Though I used to live in SF, I know very little about this area. Are there any reasonably priced good restaurants or is it all rich-peninsula-people food? What about markets--natural foods, butcher, fishmonger, fruits & vegetables? Moral support, advice, words of encouragement all welcome.
