Hi, I recently came across an older (well) used 12" Copper pan that I assume is tin lined. I got a very good deal on this so I purchased it and am now wondering if I need to do anything to it before using it (not that I really have any idea what I'll use a pan this large for, but I couldn't pass it up). As you can see, it looks like it was probably over-heated and the tin has bubbled in several places and I suspect its seen the business end of a knife more than once. It is stamped WS and made in France. Although I know it won't affect its cooking, it is a tad out of round as well so it will be difficult to get a lid to fit properly (I suspect it may have been dropped during its life -- this sucker is heavy at nearly 12 lbs). So that fact may limit what I am willing to spend on it. I'll include a couple of pictures if anyone has an opinion.
