I have walked by this place a thousand times, and always thought that it was a private banquet space. But a friend of mine told me to try it for dinner (on a weeknight, since most Fridays and Saturdays they are closed), so I went on a Wednesday. The space is absolutely gorgeous, my halibut (only $19!) was fantastic, and the wine list was an absolute steal. This is one of those hidden, old-school gems. A place that really cares about their food, and doesn't seem to care about modern mark-ups. My dining partner had crab ravioli that was also outstanding. The service was good--very attentive and unassuming, nothing over the top. I eat out a lot, and cannot recommend this enough for people who are looking for a perfect, unpretentious, quiet evening in a classy, 20s-ballroom feeling kind of space where you are as welcome in jeans as in evening wear. Just go. It's on Arlington and Clark. Anybody else know about this place?
