A place called WOW Dumpling House has recently opened in San Gabriel Square. A couple of interesting things about this place. First, it seems to have been carved out of another restaurant, Seafood Hot Pot, on the second floor of the shopping center. The two restaurants are connected to each other and share the same suite number. More surprisingly is that dumplings make up only a quarter or less of the menu, belying a name that implies mostly dumplings. There are eight dumpling items on the menu, the most interesting being an orange colored dumpling with carrot juice in the wrapper (it is apparently filled with scallops and celery) and a green colored dumpling with spinach juice in the wrapper, filled with pork, shrimp and sea cucumber. I had the sole dumplings, which were quite good. Menu also shows "pumpkin, shrimp dumpling" perhaps indicating another colorful wrapper.
