Worst dining experience in a long time: Bon Vivant

Went there with a few friends because it's in the Entertainment Book. Started off with bread, which was warm and good. We all ordered different appetizers. The "small" caesar literally was tiny... I guess what do you expect for $3.99? But seriously, it was about 10 small lettuce leaves. The sampler appetizer menu wasn't worth the $8.99. It was ok, not great (1 pepper tart, 2 tiny pieces of blue cheese bruschetta, 1 tiny brie in philo tart). The onion soup was disgusting. I don't know how it was made, but it had the consistency of gelatine. I couldn't eat it.

Service was horribly slow. Took 30 mins to get our appetizers, and at least another 30 mins afterwards for our main course. 4 people had 4 different chicken dishes, and they were literally all the same with different sauces on top. All had overcooked, bland brown rice. All had roasted veggies, which were sort of ok... sprinkled with dried herbs. The chicken was bad. Severely overcooked, dry, and even the sauce looked like it had been sitting around for a couple hours. Everyone had the same opinion. Someone had the tilapia and couldn't eat it at all... overcooked and tasted frozen.

The waiter finally came to our table, looked at the uneaten tilapia and walked away. After he came back, still untouched, he asked if it was ok. We said no, it was terrible, and he said he'd see what he can do. He came back with the bill and a $15 gift certificate. We said we weren't coming back and asked that he remove it from the bill - it was afterall untouched. He said he wouldn't do that. No apology, nothing. Probably happens often to them. He said he was too busy to check on us, because he was helping to cook in the kitchen!!!

We paid, thankfully had the entertainment cards, and will definitely never go back!
