Four nostalgic Newcomb sorority sisters are gathering in a few weeks to celebrate one's 40th birthday party. The b-day girl has scheduled a dinner (for about 20 people)in a private room at Arnaud's, and Sunday brunch at Commander's is also on the itinerary.
While none of us has lived in NOLA for several years, the sister who still visits frequently says both Arnaud's and Commander's have gone downhill.
Are we foolish to cling to our nostalgia by spending two of our eating opportunities at these places?
BTW, the other "must do"s in our plans include Domilise's, Cooter's, Port O' Call, and Hansen's for Sno-Blizs.
Thanks for any input. If you think Arnaud's is a bad idea, any suggestions for a large group (preferably private room) would be appreciated.
