I was at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe there in Irvine, California, with a friend to get the Chinois Chicken Salad and garlic mashed potatoes for lunch.
Friend presented me with the offered new cookbook "Live, Love, Eat! The Best of Wolfgang Puck." (First Edition 2002 - Random House) and because he bought it at the restaurant, the price was reduced from $35.00 to something.
Besides having many of his simple tried and true recipes in it, the book cover is rather Christmassie with the red and green. I was pleased with the gift and thought others might like it for Christmas also.
They then told me he will be at the Irvine Spectrum signing his books in January. That appealed to me, too.
Oh, and it wasn't at all busy when we went at 2:30 p.m., but Aaron was our waiter and he was really great! Friendly, but not intrusive, knowledgable (for what its worth at the cafe) and listened like he wanted to hear.
