Winston Salem BBQ recommendation

Michael B | Jun 13, 200308:21 AM

I'm working my way through the book "Tarheel BBQ" and came across a particularly good one this week.

Hill's Lexington BBQ in WS. They even have a style of serving that is new for me. Blocked is what they call it. Think of a chunk of tender Q about double the size of you thumb. Now think of a plate of about a dozen of these chunks. They also have chopped and sliced and both appeared to be good from gazing at other patron's plates. Hush puppies were very good but not great. Slaw is red style and very close to being as good as Stamey's. I'd give it four and a half stars out of five.
