Wings 101

I want to bring a culturally appropriate dish to my first American Superbowl party. I'm craving chicken wings, but I haven't had much success making them at home. Does anyone have favorite recipes, or pointers for success.

I'm operating under the following constraints:

1. No deep fryer, so I'd prefer to bake or broil.
2. Long trip to party, so I'll either have to reheat them, or cook them on site.
3. Squishy chicken skin gives me the howling fantods, so crunchiness is a top priority.
