windows steaks and martinis downhill alert

ryanconder | Feb 15, 2004 03:14 PM

went to windows steaks and martinis for valentines. they didn't tell us they had changed owners, chef and menu. fixed menu 90 per person. i would have left when i arrived and saw about 75 steaks in the back already cooked under the warmer, but it was all prepaid and there were no refunds. we were first served a a salad that tasted like it came out of a bag, with canned crabmeat on top with some kind of sugar dressing. gross. next the steak.
some kind of soggy onion ring on top of of a compltely dried out steak that tasted like it was cooked a few hours earlier, and kept under a warmer. last of all the dessert. i don't even think i know how to describe it other than the dessert counter at the ralphs. it is such a drag because it is so amazing to be able to see a 360 view of los angeles from that high up. (the 32nd floor of the transamerica building) go for the drinks and the view, but avoid the food.
