Wednesday before Thanksgiving in SF w/ Parents

VealParmGuy | Nov 21, 201411:23 AM

My wife and I will be driving up to SF from LA on Wednesday, and could use some recommendations for dinner with my parents, who are staying in Berkeley.

We're staying near Union Square, and unless we leave late-Tuesday, or there is no traffic, will probably not want a drive or long Bart-ride for dinner.

Ideal criteria for my parents
-Near Bart for an easy trip for them from Berkeley.
-Not too noisy. For those familiar with LA, I took them to Salt's Cure and Night+Market last time and while they liked the food, the noise was a bit much. This eliminates almost every place that would be on my list.
-Would like to avoid the upper-upper end of price spectrum.

Other info
-We will probably have an extended family outing to Yank Sing on Friday morning/lunch.
-We are likely leaving Saturday after a pass through the ferry building and farmer's market
-My dad has a reservation at Bay Wolf for Friday night, but also mentioned that as a Wednesday possibility, depending on when we get into town. In the past they've liked Fringale, and Seven Hills, but both are a bit of a schlep, and don't seem super Bart accessible.
-I would love to go to Frances (had her cooking at a dinner at Scribe and loved) or Kin Khao....but I fear they both may be too noisy for my parents.
-Is Aperto still any good? Was last there two years ago. Is that an easy Bart or Uber trip? A16?

I've perused Ruth's thread that covered similar territory, but would love any other specific suggestions. Thanks!
