Wife and I dined at Waterboy last nite (June 4), and it was up to its usual excellent standards. They have a new menu, but I stayed with my favorite, veal sweetbreads with mushrooms (as an entree) with sides of garlic mash potatoes and long beans. It was delectable. She had the mixed grill, (duck breast, lamb, and other meats which she thoroughly enjoyed. For starters, we had the viccysoise soup (nicely done), mushroom risotto (fantastic but maybe a bit oversalted) and a clam and garlic concoction they did out of the kitchen because i did not want their listed clam appetizer (perfectly done). The only downside was the chocolate I still don't know what it was desert cake of some type. Oh well. Total cost for meal plus a corkage fee -- $93 plus tip. Very, very reasonable considering the quality of food.
Service was also very good, even when they were busy. Towards the end, after 9 pm, they began to get a few empty tables as Sac is simply not a late dining out down.
By the way, corkage policy is very generous. Usual fee is $15 a bottle, but they waive the fee for each bottle you buy off their reasonably priced wine list.
