Hello! My husband and I are finally visiting Charleston this weekend after years of dreaming about it. I've been cramming the last 2 weeks and had a pretty good idea of where all we (I) wanted to eat. Then I realized it was the Super Bowl and after a bit of research discovered that many restaurants close on that day!?! My plans of scoring an early table at Chez Nous are ruined :( I think a nicer dinner is now out for that night, so any recs for a fun place to sit at the bar, grab some good drinks and apps and watch some of the game? Prefer something a bit nicer than frozen chicken fingers and onion rings. We do love great nachos and wings though.
Here's some of my food itinerary to give you an idea of what I'm interested in.
Grab drinks/app late afternoon at Gin Joint or Cypress
Cancel SNOB reservation and try to get table at Chez Nous
Drinks afterwards at Market Pavillion Hotel, Social or Vendue
Head to Kudu for coffee, Wildflour for sticky buns
Eat brunch at The Grocery
Bin 152 for some wine and cheese
???? to watch the Super Bowl and eat apps/dinner
Drinks at the Cocktail Club or The Belmont (if open)
Hominy Grill for breakfast
Husk, Magnolia's or Minero for lunch, depending on our mood
Happy Hour at Pearlz
Dinner at FIG
Peninsula Grill for coconut cake
Drinks at Thoroughbred
Callie's Biscuit for breakfast
Grab lunch to-go from Cru Cafe or Butcher & Bee and head to airport
Thanks so much for any advice and feel free to critique my itinerary if you think it needs it!
