This is hard to believe.
I just finished lunch at Morton's, in the bar area, which is quite nice. Steak Salad is good, not great. In my opinion, the lettuce could be better sorted, there were some romaine cores that shouldn't have been there. And I think some blue cheese crumbles should have been offered. But a nice portion, nicely cooked and nicely presented for $12.95. I might even like it better than Smith & Wollensky's in the wobbly, wooden bowl.
Now here's the shocker. They had two cabernet's by the glass, a Hogue and a BV, I chose the Hogue. The bill came, and showed Hogue Cabernet at $14.95 per glass! That's insane! Didn't see the bottle price, but it couldn't be $45 could it?
Consider yourself warned.
