I jus picked up a delicious "brown steamed pork bun" at Wei Lah coffee shop on Bayard street (I read about it in Eric Asimov's NY TImes article on Chinatown a few weeks back). The dough was sweet and pretzel-y and just slightly undercooked (in a good way). It was perfect with the delicous, savory porky stew inside.
Where else can I get warm steamed buns in the morning? And do they come in any flavors besides pork ?
