My wine party's coming up this weekend and I got a nice-sounding Stilton-honey toast recipe from 'Celeste.' (see the link)
Well, the $14.99/lb stilton was replaced with $9.99/lb bleu d'auvergne. The white truffle honey's a no-go (clover'll be fine for my unpalatable guests), and now I'm stuck trying to figure out what walnut levain bread is. Anyone? Easy substitutions?
