wah fung visit

vinouspleasure | May 12, 201605:28 PM

For the last couple of years I've been favoring ny noodletown and big wong over wah fung for roast meat. (It's a longer walk from our office, there's always a line and no place to sit). Forgot how laughably big the portions are. I ordered a "small" roast pork for $3.75, they fill a container with rice, add some cabbage and then cut up an entire piece of roast pork. I'm thinking there's no way it will fit and the server cuts up another piece. and then half another piece.

It's a guilty pleasure, a total flavor bomb but midway through I noticed the pork was fatty compared to say nyn. There was absolutely no way to finish, ended up taking a lot home. Three people on line before me ordered the $7 chicken, pork, duck trio over rice or noodles. Just a *crazy* amount of food.

it was good but going forward, I think I'll stick to the leaner versions found at nyn and big wong.
