OK I know people will disagree with what i did but here are the facts. on the road all week and flew home late afternoon. DW and I went for a bite. DW wet for 2 apps and i ordered the risotto w seafood and wild mushrooms with truffle oil ($24). I was so tired did not notice that there were no mushroom in the dish. Wandered up to the wait station and mentioned this to the waiter. He apologized and rushed to the kitchen and a few minutes later arrived at the table with a plate of wild mushrooms. BTW, the service was not that great prior to this and i mentioned to my wife that service needed some inprovement about five minutes beofre entree served.
The bill arrived $48 for the two of us and there was not an adjustment for the risotto, which i thought there should have been. I thought $5 would have been a nice gesture. I left the waiter $5 on the $48.
1 - do you think the risotto should have been price adjusted? If yes, how much would you think?
2 - was i wrong in leaving an 11% tip?
