I bought the Vitamix 6300 from a local Costco during demonstration. Less than 4 months, it completely stops working. Called its 800 Customer Service, they would not exchanged it for me worry free even it is still under warranty. The person on the phone (Michael K) said everything that further exacerbated my dissatisfaction. He indicated this model was made exclusively for Costco. Therefore, they could not do much. I suspect he was implying Costco must have specified the machine for some reason. Ridiculous! I was told the only chance I can get a replacement was to drive one hour away to another Costco store where there is a demonstration since not every Costco carries the model (the more expensive one). What a awful way to compensate customer for manufacturing defect. Basically, they put all the burden on the customer when something goes wrong. The model looks ugly, bulky without much design. I thought it might be durable, though. I can't believe Costco would only promote one brand through massive demonstration events all year round. I hope the senior executives are not having special relationships with the manufacturer. Costco boasted their superior treatment of the employees. But what about the customers who provided the source of their revenue and employees' livelihood.
