Virginia Bakery "new" Cookies

pm | May 15, 200611:37 AM     3

Saturday in Virgina Bakery I saw some old-style-Scharffenbergeresque-looking cookies in the case. As my eyes lit up, the clerk told me how delicious they were. Chocolate chunk w/pecans. They looked crispy on the edges, and softer in the middle.

Actually, the entire cookie was on the soft side. If they were baked maybe 30 secs to a minute longer, they'd have almost been the perfect cookie. I ate it not many hours after purchase, so that shouldn't have affected the texture much. I'd have thought the cookie great had I not been expecting what I was.
