Amsterdam Ave between 73rd and 74th. It looks like this place has recently been renovated. I'd never been there prior to the renovation. Here's the lowdown:
Excellent 12" personal pizzas--made to order in a separate brick oven, nicely charred, tomato sauce seemed bright and fresh. I've had the "Napoli" (fresh arugula) and a pineapple/canadian bacon pie. Both were good, but I vastly preferred the Napoli. The day I had the Napoli, it was made by an older gentleman and had a somewhat tenderer yet more charred crust, as opposed to yesterday's Hawaiian pie, which was made by a young guy who didn't achieve the same crust-magic (it was still good) and he used canned pineapples.
You also need to try the zucchini pie, which isn't a pizza at all. It's kind of like a thick, crustless quiche. The inside is creamy and rich, yet with a souffle-like lightness. The exterior is dark and crunchy. They also make a spinach version which I haven't tried yet.
