One More Vineyard/Winery

panchy | Apr 14, 201606:32 AM

Hi All! This is far in advance but I plan on visiting some vineyards in Sonoma/St. Helena area for a day in July. I have two vineyards that I would like to visit - Newton Vineyard and Schramsberg Vineyards. I am looking for one more. I was hoping to also visit Merry Edwards Winery but it is too much of a drive in totality. I prefer smaller/intimate vineyards, not monolithic tourist traps. I like getting to know how the wine was made, the process of the vineyard, etc.

Although I prefer full-bodied reds and buttery chards, I am open any vineyard/winery that is good at what it does. Picturesque views would be a huge plus as my SO is not interested in wine, and thus is only going for me. Need to keep him interested! Although I would like to visit Newton (especially the tour involving a Pinzgauer!) and Schramsberg, I am really open to any three vineyards that are encapsulated within 30 minutes of each other.

As a FYI, I have been to wine country several times already and been lucky to visit vineyards such as Littorai, Willams-Seleym, Cakebread, Hess, Failla, etc.
