I'd like to make Vin Chaud for a Christmas party this weekend and am trying to find a tasty and accurate recipe. Glugwein is the same stuff, right -- just the German name?
so far this is what I've found:
1 bottle of red wine, 100 g sugar, 1 lemon or orange, 2 cinnamon sticks.
another recipe calls for:
1 litre dry, red, good quality wine, 1 litre water (or orange juice if you like) 2 cloves, ½ stick, cinnamon
a pinch nutmeg, 200g sugar, 1 lemon rind, grated
another recipe calls for some brandy... another for pineapple juice. What gives? Any thoughts?
