I've looked over posts for the last few months and have more restaurants than I could ever hit for our 5 nites there. Do people still agree that Alle Testiere is a must visit? I think it's in our neighborhood (staying at Hotel da Bruno) and would make an easy first nite out. Do they only have two seatings? I've seen that in some travel books but would like to go between 7 and 9 if possible.
Are there any good restaurant sites besides the slow food one? I've googled but don't see anything great. Do you think we're safe from canal flooding? (Altho i read last week that the canals were dry.)
But my main question is: Is there a place in Venice you recommend that has a scene feel to it, maybe with a bar to hang out, with good food that doesn't break the bank (entrees <30 Euro I guess)? I'll hit Harry's for the requisite bellini and I assume that's a fun place but I'm looking for something less well known. Since there doesn't seem to be much nightlife in Venice, I thought a one stop fun restaurant might be good for a weekend nite. Thoughts? We'll be there March 17-22 BTW. Thanks.
