I will be in Vegas for a week in mid-April. I am vegetarian but not necessarily vegan. Other posts about vegs in Vegas focus on ethnic foods. But I also see that so many of the top restaurants focus on meat and fish. My question is this: dare I try the "non-ethnic" and/or "finer" restaurants for dinner and ask the chefs to put something together for me? Or should I stick to places I know I can get non-meat entrees? Here at home (NYC) I have a feel for which places are amenable to off-menu requests, but don't know the protocol in other cities. Thanks.
