Vacuum Systems??

Previously, after catching fish, I have frozen the filets in ice. They seem to remain fresh for a long time. In order to save room in my freezer and speed defrosting times, I am considering a plastic bag vacuum system. Has anyone had experience in using this method to freeze fish? I would really appreciate your advice and experiences.
