A Unicorn Boxed Red Wine?

Scirocco | Sep 28, 202002:04 PM     14

Let's face it, boxed wine is not ever going to be involved in fine dining, and in particular, red wines seem to suffer the most. But in general, boxed wine HAS improved over the last decade. So has anyone tried a boxed red (preferably a cab, shiraz or something boldish?) that is...let's call it... porch drinkable? A daily drinker? I find it hard to commit to the volume of a box before tasting it and very few offer "minis" or even the half boxes, so I've only had a few and none in the last year or two. I am not a black cherry fruit forward fan (other dark fruits taste better to me), which most seem to be and I get it, it's cheap wine. I love some smoke or oak. I know it's incredibly subjective, but let's hear what you like best or what is your go-to. I'm hoping someone has discovered a decent brand. :-)
