Twinbrook Pizza was pretty good. Had the red onion and genoa salami 16-inch. The toppings were nice and the crust on the chewy side, a bit thicker than New York style with few dried herbs. Could've used a tiny bit more cooking time, I'll ask for it more done next time, and was a little bit greasy, but not in a way I minded. The place I believe is run by the Twinbrook Deli folks, which always produce a nice cheap little sub when needed.
Ate at Ambrosia Grille earlier on Friday for lunch. Just not quite the same as the old place (the story of the business breakup is on a plaque on the wall). Hard to pin point why, but as an example, I got a big sandwich platter with just dabs of tzatsiki on top. Would have preferred the yogurt sauce on the side. Diet coke was also flat and syrupy. Service was perfunctory. Not bad mind you, just that the place does not seem to be running on all cylinders. May return one more time in the evening for wife's favorite, Lamb Youvesti. Any news on the other branch of Ambrosia?
