Does anyone know how the white truffle harvest is turning out in northern Italy?
We're supposed to go for a week in mid-October, but by all accounts the record heat and dryness should have slaughtered the white truffle crop this year.
We're thinking that a week competing for the the three surviving tubers at $25,000/kilo is more a 90s thing.
Anyone know the actual situation?
