Recently went down to Brooklyn for pizza (among other things). Defara's is a madhouse, or perhaps, more like a comic opera. People are actually videotaping Dom make pizza while standing on line. And the lines are long, plan to wait 45 minutes if it's busy. Pizza is pretty good. A notch above Reginas and Santarpios. Also went to Spumoni Garden. This is an old Brooklyn joint worthy of a pilgrimage. Sicilian slices are sublime, not too cheesy, perfect crust. The pies are made in huge, old, well-seasons trays (half a pie is 18 slices.) As for Boston pizza? Much ado about nothing.
