Just got home and in a comfortable food comma after having lunch at this great new Filipino restaurant. Its in San Bruno, 235 El Camino Real to be exact.
Its like eating at someone's home. The bagoong (shrimp paste) rice is to die for and enough to feed 4 people. It's topped with pork sauteed in more bagoong, mango/tomato salad, scrambled eggs in a large bowl of pure goodness. The laing (taro leaves in coconut milk) is great and perfectly seasoned. Its slights salty, grlicky, and goes great with the rice. The sizzling bangus (milkfish) is topped of with crunchy garlic and caramelized onions. Don't forget the frozen ice tea as a refreshment. The only down side is that they dont serve any beer or wine.
